October 6-9 was the biennial Norman Douglas Symposium in Bregenz, Austria. – a literary Symposium with eight speakers – two of whom were 90 years old. Lecturing on literary things is obviously a good way to age. Cecil Woolf and Arthur Wensinger spoke with wit, pace and wisdom, and we younger folk added our findings. I had some new material – letters in the ND foundation – and the talks will be published next month.
